Sex in virtual reality and IP law

Sheppard Mullin entertainment and media partner Benjamin Mulcahy writes about the adult entertainment industry's latest contribution to intellectual property law on the Internet - a lawsuit against players in a virtual world who copied and resold a company's computer code that aids characters having virtual sex. Policing a virtual world named Second Life means determining whether virtual goods constitute "goods" as articulated in the Lanham Act.
